Lifelong friends and Colorado-born entrepreneurs

Brett and Ryan co-founded Denver-based Notion in 2014. Before being acquired by Comcast in 2020, Notion had partnered with four of the top five property insurers in the US, shipped over a million devices globally, raised $20+ million in VC investment, and built a team of 40+ people. Notion was a multi-year recipient of Best Places to Work in Colorado awards and was recognized for Excellence in Innovation by Frost & Sullivan. Brett and Ryan have leveraged their experience building Notion into being integral parts of the Denver startup and investment community.

Brett Jurgens

Brett is a finance and strategy executive with 18+ years of experience in building businesses, fundraising, investment banking, and M+A. Most recently, he has been the founder and CEO of Denver-based Net Energy which has pioneered paths for single-family homes to be more energy efficient. Additionally, Brett has been a sought after advisor within the Denver startup community.

Ryan Margoles

Ryan is a tech and product executive with 18+ years of experience in developing and launching new technologies and scaling product and engineering teams. Most recently, he has been an innovation and strategy leader for Nike's Advanced Innovation Collective in addition to advising multiple exited startups, the NASA Startup Studio, and Comcast's SportsTech Accelerator.
